CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Guardians have made moves on their roster, the team announced on Sunday. Left-handed pitcher Tim Herrin was called up to the main team, while fellow lefty Joey Cantillo was sent to the Triple-A affiliate in Columbus.

Herrin, 28, has had a standout performance this season with the Guardians, accumulating a 4-2 record and a 4.06 ERA in 39 appearances. He had been sent to Columbus two weeks ago.

Cantillo, 25 years old, has a 3-3 record with an ERA of 3.93 in 29 games. In addition, he has started in eight games, including five in the last month.

These moves come as Cleveland (63-59) remains in contention for an American League wild-card spot. The team faced the Atlanta Braves in the series finale on Sunday.
