Dodgers: Vesia to the IL due to injury, Snell ready to start on Friday

Los Angeles – Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Alex Vesia was placed on the injured list on Tuesday due to a right oblique strain. The move is retroactive to August 23. Vesia is 3-2 with a 2.75 ERA in 59 appearances this season.The Dodgers also announced the return of right-handed pitcher Blake Snell, who will make his next scheduled start on Friday against Arizona. Snell was on the paternity list after the birth of his second child on Monday. In six starts this season, Snell has a 3-2 record with a 1.97 ERA.
