Los Angeles Dodgers Achieve Historic Milestone with 4 Million Fans

The Los Angeles Dodgers have achieved an unprecedented feat in their history, attracting 4 million fans during the current season. This achievement makes them the tenth team in MLB history to reach this figure. The Dodgers are the first MLB team to surpass 4 million fans since the New York Mets and Yankees achieved it in 2008. The team, the current World Series champion, surpassed this mark with 46,601 fans present at their last regular season home game against the San Francisco Giants. The 2025 regular season ended with a total attendance of 4,012,470, averaging 49,537 fans per game.

It’s incredible that these fans show up and support us every day. I feel like we have the best fans in sports. The numbers prove it. We were able to see the fans’ excitement last weekend and how the players responded. It’s been great.

Dave Roberts, Manager
The Yankees managed to attract 4 million fans between 2005 and 2008, during their last four years at the old Yankee Stadium. The Toronto Blue Jays achieved this in 1991, 1992, and 1993, while the Colorado Rockies also reached this figure in 1993, playing at Mile High Stadium. The Dodger Stadium, inaugurated in 1962, has a capacity of 56,000 spectators, the highest in MLB. The Dodgers have led the league in attendance in 12 of the last 13 seasons since 2013, only falling short in 2020 due to the pandemic restrictions. In addition, the Dodgers have secured their place in the postseason for the thirteenth consecutive year since 2013, matching the second-longest playoff streak in baseball history, a period that includes two World Series championships and four National League pennants. The large fanbase and worldwide popularity of Shohei Ohtani explain why the Dodgers also lead the majors in visitor attendance, attracting an average of 35,118 fans to rival parks so far in 2025. Los Angeles finishes the regular season with a six-game series in Arizona and Seattle. During this season, the Dodgers had more than 50,000 fans in 46 of their 81 home games, and never recorded an attendance below 40,000. The team keeps its fans happy not only with victories, but also with numerous giveaways and special events during the season, including more than a dozen bobblehead nights. The Dodgers didn’t surpass 3 million in attendance at Chavez Ravine until the 1978 season, but they have now achieved this figure 36 times.
