Dodgers Achieve Historic Milestone with 4 Million Fans

Los Angeles Dodgers break barriers and reach an unprecedented figure in fan attendance. For the first time in the franchise’s history, the team has managed to gather 4 million fans during the current season.

This achievement places the Dodgers as the tenth team in MLB history to reach this mark. The last time a league team reached this figure was in 2008, with the New York Mets and the Yankees.

The milestone was celebrated with an attendance of 46,601 fanatics at the last home regular season game against the San Francisco Giants. The total attendance for the 2025 season was 4,012,470, with an average of 49,537 per game.

For these fans, it’s incredible that they show up and show their support every day. There’s a reason why I feel we have the best fans in the sport. The numbers prove it. You could see this past weekend the fans’ excitement and how the players responded. It’s been great.

The Yankees achieved this attendance number between 2005 and 2008. The Toronto Blue Jays did it in 1991, 1992, and 1993. The Colorado Rockies also reached this figure in 1993. The Dodger Stadium, which opened in 1962, has a capacity for 56,000 spectators and has led the league in attendance in 12 of the last 13 seasons since 2013, with the exception of 2020 due to the pandemic restrictions. The Dodgers have clinched their spot in the postseason for the thirteenth consecutive year since 2013, tying for the second-longest playoff streak in baseball history. This period includes two World Series championships and four National League pennants. The popularity of Shohei Ohtani and his large fanbase have contributed to the Dodgers leading the majors in away game attendance, attracting an average of 35,118 fans to rival parks so far in the 2025 season. The Dodgers finish the regular season with a six-game series in Arizona and Seattle. In 46 of their 81 home games, the Dodgers surpassed 50,000 attendees, and never had an attendance below 40,000. In addition to the victories, the team keeps its fans happy with numerous giveaways during the season, including very popular bobblehead nights. The Dodgers didn’t surpass 3 million in attendance until the 1978 season, but they have now achieved it 36 times.
