Nolan Arenado Leaves Game with Finger Injury
The St. Louis Cardinals were forced to remove their star third baseman, Nolan Arenado, during the game against the Atlanta Braves on Friday night, which ended in a 6-5 defeat.
The reason for the substitution was a sprain in Arenado’s right index finger. The player, who had gotten a hit in three at-bats, was replaced in the seventh inning by Thomas Saggese.
Although it was not specified how the injury occurred, it is known that it is the same one that kept him out of two games last week during the series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
So far this season, Arenado has hit 10 home runs and accumulated 42 RBIs in 84 games.
