Cal Raleigh Hits His 31st Home Run and Leads MLB
The Seattle Mariners’ batter, Cal Raleigh, continues to demonstrate his power on the field. On Sunday, during the game against the Chicago Cubs, Raleigh hit his 31st home run of the season, solidifying himself as the MLB leader in this important category.
In the first inning of the game, Raleigh quickly demonstrated his offensive ability. He connected with a powerful two-run hit against pitcher Colin Rea’s pitch. The ball, propelled at an exit velocity of 105 mph, headed straight to center field.This was Raleigh’s fourth home run of the weekend series, and the fifth in his last five games. With this hit, the player broke the tie for third place on the list of most home runs in franchise history before the All-Star break.
In Sunday’s game, Raleigh, who bats from both sides of the plate, served as the designated hitter after having been behind the plate on Saturday. In addition to his home run, he also drew a walk in the third inning and singled, scoring a run, in the fifth.
