Fredi González Returns to the Atlanta Braves as Third Base Coach
The Atlanta Braves, going through a difficult time, have decided to bring back Fredi González, their former manager, as interim third base coach.
The team made the announcement on Monday, revealing that Matt Tuiasosopo, who previously held the position of third base coach, has accepted a position as infield coordinator in the minor leagues.
The Braves enjoyed a day off on Monday. The team has suffered eight losses in their last 11 games, and with a record of 27-31, they are in fourth place in the National League East Division.
González previously managed the Marlins and the Braves. In addition, he was part of Baltimore’s coaching staff for five seasons, including three as a bench coach, before being replaced by the Orioles last offseason.
