Aaron Ashby Returns to the Milwaukee Brewers
Left-handed pitcher Aaron Ashby was activated from the 15-day injured list by the Milwaukee Brewers this Friday, before a game against Pittsburgh. He is expected to be used by the team in long relief.
Ashby, who turns 27 this Saturday, has been out of action since spring training due to a right oblique strain. On Wednesday, he pitched a scoreless inning in Triple-A Nashville, as part of his rehabilitation assignment.
In 14 appearances with Milwaukee last year, Ashby had a 1-2 record with a 2.86 ERA.
Reliever Carlos Rodriguez was sent to Nashville, one day after earning his first major league win, pitching 3 1/3 innings during the 8-5 victory over Pittsburgh.
