WTGL: The LPGA Joins the Technological Golf Revolution

The world of women’s golf is about to take an innovative leap. The LPGA Tour and TMRW Sports announced on Tuesday the launch of the WTGL (Women’s TGL), a technological golf league that will begin in the 2026-27 season. The WTGL, which will launch next winter, will feature LPGA stars competing in teams at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the same venue where TGL has held its matches for the last two seasons.

Partnering with TMRW Sports on the WTGL reflects our belief that innovation can help bring the game to new fans and create greater visibility for LPGA athletes. I have seen how new formats can engage audiences while showcasing the personality and performance of the athletes, and the WTGL brings that spirit of innovation to the women’s game.

Craig Kessler, LPGA Commissioner
It has not yet been specified which LPGA Tour golfers will participate in this technology-driven indoor golf league, nor the number of teams that will compete. LPGA stars like Nelly Korda, Megan Khang, and Jeeno Thitikul have commented on social media about their excitement for the TGL matches. Rose Zhang, who became an investor in The Bay Golf Club in February 2025, expressed her vision for innovation in golf:

I chose to get involved in TGL because they are attracting a new and younger audience to golf, which was previously predominantly for older men with country clubs. Now we are translating that into something more innovative, and I felt it was perfect to make that statement by becoming an investor and seeing how that innovation unfolds in the world of golf.

TMRW Sports and the LPGA Tour promise to reveal more details about the WTGL in the coming months.

Since the launch of TGL a year ago, TMRW Sports has been preparing the ground to create a women’s league with the best players in the world. Now, together with the LPGA and its athletes, we hope to create a stage to help showcase the stars of the LPGA.
