Victor Pérez leaves the PGA Tour: Star signing for LIV Golf Cleeks

French golfer Victor Perez becomes the first player to leave the PGA Tour this year to join the Saudi Arabian-funded LIV Golf circuit. The news was confirmed on Tuesday by the league itself, announcing his addition to the Cleeks team.Perez, who had joint membership in the PGA Tour and the European Tour, has three European Tour titles to his name. So far this year, his participation in tournaments outside the PGA Tour was limited to the French Open. His best result was a tie for ninth place at the RBC Canadian Open.Perez’s move involves his replacement of Frederik Kjettrup, who was relegated from LIV Golf after failing to place among the top 48 on the points list.With the threat of losing his card, and currently in 108th place in the FedEx Cup, Perez withdrew from the RSM Classic on Tuesday.

“Joining the Cleeks Golf Club for the 2026 season feels like joining the next great chapter in golf, as this club continues to break barriers, perform at the highest level, and bring fresh energy and vision to the game,” Perez stated.
