Victor Pérez leaves the PGA Tour and signs with LIV Golf: Strengthens the Cleeks

French golfer Victor Perez becomes the first player to leave the PGA Tour this year to join the Saudi Arabian-funded LIV Golf circuit. The news was confirmed on Tuesday by the league itself, announcing his addition to the Cleeks team. Perez, who held joint membership on the PGA Tour and the European Tour, has three European Tour titles to his name. So far this year, his participation in tournaments outside the PGA Tour was limited to the French Open. His best result was a tie for ninth place at the RBC Canadian Open. The change for Perez comes as a replacement for Frederik Kjettrup, who was relegated from LIV Golf after failing to place among the top 48 in the points list. Currently 108th in the FedEx Cup, and at risk of losing his card, Perez withdrew from the RSM Classic on Tuesday.

“Joining the Cleeks Golf Club for the 2026 season feels like joining the next great chapter in golf, as this club continues to break barriers, perform at the highest level, and bring fresh energy and vision to the game,” Perez said in a statement.
