Tiger Woods Undergoes Lumbar Disc Replacement Surgery

The renowned golfer Tiger Woods announced through his social media that he underwent lumbar disc replacement surgery last Friday. The surgical intervention was carried out to treat persistent problems in his lower back.

After experiencing pain and lack of mobility in my back, I consulted doctors and surgeons to undergo tests.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Woods explained that the test results revealed a collapsed disc in the L4/5 area, disc fragments, and a compromised spinal canal.

I chose to replace my disc yesterday, and I already know I made a good decision for my health and my back.

This is not the first time Woods has undergone back surgeries. In September of last year, he underwent surgery to solve a nerve compression problem in the lumbar area. Additionally, Woods has been out of PGA Tour competitions this year while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon suffered in March.
