In the world of golf, anticipation grows as the PGA Championship approaches. Jordan Spieth, with his sights set on completing the career Grand Slam, has been the subject of conversation, especially after Rory McIlroy suggested that Spieth could be the next to achieve it.

McIlroy, a regular at Quail Hollow Club, where the event is held, is the only four-time winner of the Wells Fargo Championship. Spieth, for his part, is seeking a title that will consecrate him, an achievement that only seven golfers have achieved in history.
Spieth has had nine opportunities to win the PGA Championship since his victory at the 2017 Open Championship.
There have been years when no one has asked me about this. It’s funny, I think if Rory hadn’t completed his Grand Slam, it wouldn’t have been a topic of conversation for me here.

Although McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are the favorites, this could be one of Spieth’s best opportunities, especially after recovering from surgery in August.
Spieth has noticed an improvement in his left wrist, although he still feels it is bigger than the right one in the mornings. The doctors assured him that this would disappear after a year.
This season, Spieth has achieved three top-10 finishes and six top-25 finishes in 11 tournaments. His last victory on the circuit was at the 2022 RBC Heritage.
Anyone recovering from an injury wants to be out there doing more and more. It’s a difficult process to be patient, especially for me.

Spieth’s best result at the PGA Championship was a second-place finish in 2015. He has finished outside the top 25 in his last six appearances.
If I could only win one tournament for the rest of my life, I would choose this one for that reason. I would love to have the opportunity this weekend.
