Scheffler Leads Betting for the Open Championship at Royal Portrush
The world number one, Scottie Scheffler, is positioned as the favorite for the 2025 Open Championship, which will be held at Royal Portrush, Northern Ireland. This situation continues Scheffler’s trend of leading the betting in the major golf tournaments this year.
Rory McIlroy, currently in second place in the world ranking, is a competitor to be reckoned with. McIlroy has experience on the course, where he achieved an outstanding round of 61 two decades ago. However, he also faced challenges and did not make the cut in the last edition of the Open Championship at Royal Portrush in 2019.
Other prominent golfers such as Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau are also emerging as serious contenders. Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele, Shane Lowry, Ludvig Åberg and Tyrrell Hatton, also have significant chances.
US Open champion J.J. Spaun is also in the betting.
The odds have been set for the lowest scoring round of the tournament, with 63 being the lowest score recorded. Bets offer options such as “over”, “under”, and “exactly 63”. Odds are also available for winning margins, including 1, 2, 3 or 4+ strokes, as well as the possibility of a tie.
The odds for a hole-in-one are also available.
The odds for each golfer can be found in the categories of winner, top 5, top 10, top 20, top 40, as well as for making or missing the cut. Odds are also available for results that exclude Scheffler and McIlroy.
