Alex Noren and Adrien Saddier Lead the BMW PGA Championship

The BMW PGA Championship, a prestigious event, is being dominated by unexpected figures, overshadowing the European stars preparing for the upcoming Ryder Cup. Alex Noren, who will be one of the team’s vice-captains, and Adrien Saddier share the lead after the third round. Noren, the Swedish player, achieved an impressive comeback with a birdie-birdie-eagle finish, culminating in a 17-foot putt on the 18th hole. For his part, Saddier, the French golfer, had an outstanding performance with birdies on three of his last four holes.

Both players finished the round with a total of 15 under par, two strokes ahead of Tyrrell Hatton, who had an outstanding performance with 64 strokes.

Viktor Hovland finished in fourth position. Other Ryder Cup players such as Ludvig Åberg and Matt Fitzpatrick are in sixth position. Rory McIlroy, who won the Irish Open last week, is in the 53rd position. Tommy Fleetwood, recent winner of the FedEx Cup, had a discreet performance. Hideki Matsuyama and Justin Rose, who led after the first rounds, lost ground. Alex Noren, winner at Wentworth eight years ago, has shown a great level recently, winning the British Masters and finishing third in the Wyndham Championship. Despite not being chosen for the Ryder Cup, Noren could outperform many of the stars with whom he will share a locker room at Bethpage.

It’s going to be a lot of fun. I love this.

Adrien Saddier is looking for his second title of 2025, after winning the Italian Open in June.

I think it will be another day of work. I will only focus on myself and my game. I will try to hit a lot of fairways and greens, and we’ll see if the putts go in tomorrow.
