Joaquin Niemann Conquers LIV Golf Virginia

Chilean golfer Joaquin Niemann won the LIV Golf Virginia this Sunday, adding his fourth victory in the first eight events of the season on the circuit financed by Saudi Arabia.

Niemann completed the day with an impressive round of 63 strokes, eight under par, surpassing Graeme McDowell and Anirban Lahiri by one stroke.

The Chilean player managed to break the tie at the top with consecutive birdies on holes 14 to 17, and secured his victory with a par on the 18th hole, finishing the tournament with a total of 15 under par, with a total of 198 strokes at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.

This year, Niemann also became champion in Australia, Singapore, and Mexico. With this victory, he now has six titles in LIV Golf, after having won twice on the PGA Tour.

Graeme McDowell finished with a round of 66 strokes, while Anirban Lahiri, who led after the second round, recorded 68 strokes.

Bryson DeChambeau, in preparation for defending his title at the U.S. Open at Oakmont, completed a round of 65 strokes, tying for fourth place with Phil Mickelson (65) and Bubba Watson (67), all with a total of 13 under par.

Jon Rahm finished at 10 under par after a round of 68.

DeChambeau and Lahiri led the Crushers to victory in the team competition.
