Sei Young Kim Extends Lead at the BMW Ladies Championship

HAENAM, South Korea – An eagle on the 17th hole propelled Sei Young Kim to extend her lead to four strokes before the final round of the BMW Ladies Championship, following a standout performance with a 69, three under par, on Saturday.

In a windy and cloudy day at Pine Beach Golf Links, located on the Korean peninsula, Kim finished with a score of 19 under par, totaling 197 strokes in three rounds, despite a bogey on the 18th hole.

Yealimi Noh (67) and Nasa Hataoka (69) are tied for second place.

American Brooke Matthews, who had followed Kim closely after the second round, suffered a triple bogey on the 15th hole, par 3, finishing six strokes behind Kim and tied for fourth place after a 74.

Defending champion Hannah Green shot a 68 and finished at 11-under, eight strokes behind Kim, tied with Australian Minjee Lee, who completed Saturday with a 71. Brooke Henderson also recorded a 71, finishing nine strokes behind the leader.

This tournament marks the beginning of two consecutive LPGA events in South Korea, followed by the International Crown, scheduled for next week. After the International Crown, two more LPGA events will be held as part of the Asian tour, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and in Japan.
