Goosen Conquers the Sanford International: 4th Title on the PGA Tour Champions!

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Retief Goosen won the Sanford International on Sunday, adding his fourth victory on the PGA Tour Champions. Goosen closed the day with a round of 67 strokes under par, securing a two-stroke lead over Bo Van Pelt.

Goosen finished the tournament with a cumulative score of 13 under par, totaling 197 strokes at the Minnehaha Country Club. The 56-year-old South African golfer, winner of the US Open in 2001 and 2004, celebrates his first victory since the Galleri Classic in March 2024.

Van Pelt finished the tournament with a score of 68 strokes.

Ernie Els and Darren Clarke shared third place with a score of 8 under par. Meanwhile, Miguel Angel Jiménez, leader of the Charles Schwab Cup, finished with 7 under par after a round of 71 strokes.

Steve Stricker, who is recovering from back surgery, was unable to defend his title. Stricker hopes to return to the PGA Tour Champions in December.

Stricker had won the tournament in the previous three years and has four victories since the tournament began in 2018.
