Sergio García Breaks His Driver at the Open Championship

Spanish golfer Sergio García starred in an unusual moment during the final round of the Open Championship. After a frustrating tee shot, the 45-year-old veteran broke his driver by slamming it against the ground.

The incident occurred on the second hole of the Royal Portrush Golf Club, in Northern Ireland. Due to the tournament rules, García was unable to replace the club damaged by a fit of rage.

Despite the situation, Garcia achieved a birdie on the 2nd hole, one of the five he got during the day. With two bogeys, he completed the round with 68 strokes, his only round under 70 during the week.

Sergio García’s performance at the Open Championship culminated in a result of 3 under par, with a total of 281 strokes.
