Stewart Cink Wins the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and Secures the Cup Title

In an exciting day of golf, Stewart Cink won the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, an event that concluded the PGA Tour Champions season, held at the Phoenix Country Club.

Cink, with an impressive final round of 67 strokes, four under par, culminated the tournament with a total of 20 under par, totaling 264 strokes. This outstanding performance secured him first place and, in addition, awarded him the coveted Charles Schwab Cup title of the season.

Steven Alker, who was leading after the third round, finished in second place, also in the overall season standings. Alker closed his participation with 70 strokes, including a bogey on the 18th hole, a par 5.

For Cink, 52, this victory represents his third win of the season and the fourth in 36 appearances on the over-50 circuit. Throughout his career, Cink has achieved eight victories on the PGA Tour, highlighting his triumph at the 2009 British Open, where he defeated Tom Watson in a playoff.

Freddie Jacobson, Jerry Kelly, and Tommy Gainey shared third place, all with a total of 15 under par.
