Basketball star Caitlin Clark is preparing for a new challenge, but this time off the court. Clark, whose second season in the WNBA was cut short by injuries, will return to action in next month’s pro-am tournament, The Annika, on the LPGA Tour.

I had an incredible time at The Annika last November and participating in the pro-am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game.

The pro-am event is scheduled for November 12 at the Pelican Golf Club and will be open to the public. Last year, after her first season in the WNBA and being named Rookie of the Year, Clark attracted a large crowd and generated great enthusiasm. The Annika is the penultimate tournament on the LPGA schedule. Clark maintains a corporate relationship with Gainbridge Insurance, the main sponsor of the event. The second season of Clark in the WNBA was affected by injuries. She was only able to participate in 13 games and was ruled out for the rest of the season on September 4 due to a groin injury. Although Clark’s team, the Indiana Fever, managed to reach the playoffs once more, they were eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.
