Australia’s Green Crowned Champion at the Rogers Charity Classic

CALGARY, Alberta – Richard Green, Australian golfer, was crowned champion of the Rogers Charity Classic this Sunday, obtaining his first title on the PGA Tour Champions. Green achieved an impressive final round of 65 strokes, five under par, thanks to a birdie on the 18th hole, securing the victory by one stroke. Green overcame the strong competition from Ricardo González, the Argentine player who finished with two consecutive birdies, signing a card of 65 strokes.

His performance totaled 18 under par, with initial rounds of 65 and 62 strokes. Miguel Ángel Jiménez, leader of the Charles Schwab Cup and who led after the second round with two impressive consecutive 63s, finished in third place with 16 under par after a round of 68. Charlie Wi finished in fourth place with 14 under par, after recording his second consecutive round of 64.
