A group of eight players are one stroke behind the leaders, including Australian Adam Scott. Another seven competitors are two strokes away. Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa, both members of the American team that suffered defeat in the Ryder Cup, finished the day with a score of 71 strokes (course par).
