Verstappen Sets the Pace in Final Practice for the Singapore Grand Prix
Max Verstappen boosted hopes of securing pole position at the Singapore Grand Prix and keeping his championship aspirations alive by setting the fastest time in final practice.
Verstappen, who is 69 points behind Oscar Piastri in the standings, beat the Australian by just 0.017 seconds at the Marina Bay street circuit.
George Russell secured third place for Mercedes, just half a second and one place ahead of his teammate, Kimi Antonelli.

Lawson hit the wall at the penultimate corner on Friday and on Saturday found himself in the barriers again, this time at Turn 7.
The New Zealander’s accident caused a suspension, with Lewis Hamilton, who finished eighth, four tenths of a second behind Verstappen, being investigated for an infraction after the red flag.
The classification takes place at 21:00 local time (14:00 BST).
