Verstappen Grabs Pole at Silverstone with a Spectacular Lap
SILVERSTONE – Max Verstappen, the current champion, secured pole position at the British Grand Prix. He achieved this with an impressive lap at the end of Saturday’s qualifying session, surpassing the two McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
Verstappen, driving for Red Bull, set a time that allowed him to beat Piastri’s McLaren by only 0.109 seconds. Norris, with the second McLaren, qualified third, finishing 0.118 seconds behind the Red Bull.
Lewis Hamilton, of Ferrari, was also aiming for pole position. However, he lost time in the final sector of his final lap in Q3, relegating him to fifth place on the grid, behind his former teammate George Russell.Max Verstappen will start from pole position for the third time at the British Grand Prix.
