Lego Joins F1 Academy: A New Chapter in Women’s Motorsport

An exciting strategic alliance is coming in the world of motorsports. The renowned Danish company Lego and the F1 Academy, the exclusively female racing series, have forged a multi-year partnership that promises to revolutionize the way motorsport is perceived and experienced. This agreement, which will materialize in 2026, will see a race car with the iconic Lego livery participate in the F1 Academy. The vehicle, adorned with the colors yellow, pink, blue and black, will be driven by the talented Dutch driver Esmee Kosterman. Collaboration goes beyond the track. Lego will launch a construction set of the F1 Academy car, designed to attract young female motorsport fans from an early age. This initiative aligns with the F1 Academy’s goal of promoting female participation in the sport.
The F1 Academy Managing Director, Susie Wolff, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration. “This collaboration is not just about building a Lego F1 Academy car, but about building the belief in what is possible.”

With our first partnership product, fans will be able to create something that represents opportunity and representation. We hope that every girl who picks up these bricks sees more than just a model; that she sees herself, her potential, and her place in the world of motorsport, whether as a fan, engineer, driver, or leader.

Julia Goldin, Lego’s Chief Marketing Officer, also shared her enthusiasm. “F1 Academy is leveling the playing field in motorsport, giving young female athletes a clear path to achieve their dreams at the highest levels of the sport.”

We are looking forward to seeing Lego Racing join the F1 Academy grid and are very happy to have Esmee as our driver. For the first time, fans will be able to get their hands on their favorite Lego F1 Academy car, and I am delighted that we are ensuring female representation in racing toys for girls.
