Hamilton Confides in Ferrari’s Potential

The renowned driver Lewis Hamilton has reiterated his confidence that Ferrari can be a title contender during his time with the team. The seven-time world champion, despite the current challenges, maintains an optimistic outlook on the future of the team. Hamilton finished in eighth position in the Singapore Grand Prix, dropping one place due to a penalty for multiple track infringements. The driver faced brake problems in the final phase of the race. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, also experienced similar difficulties, finishing in sixth place. It was a disappointing weekend for Ferrari, who has yet to achieve a victory so far this season.

Despite the disappointment, Hamilton finds reasons for optimism. “I focus on the positive aspects on the track,” Hamilton wrote.

Media headlines only tell one story, one in which we don’t do things right or things don’t go as we want. But what I’ve focused on in recent months is the other story. How this team responds when things go wrong. How we get up and try again.

The driver highlighted that the Singapore Grand Prix was an example of this. “Yesterday was the perfect example. We did the strategy well, but the brake problem set us back just as the momentum was growing. Now we go back to the factory, learn from this last race and plan the next one.”

Hamilton also expressed his pride in the team and his desire to contribute to the results they deserve. “I see the progress we are making and the hard work being done in every race, but this is Ferrari. Progress alone is not enough. To achieve greatness, we must go further, be better. There is much we can achieve together, and if we can build on our successes and change the things we need to, I firmly believe we will get there.” Hamilton also reflected on the support received after the passing of his dog, Roscoe. “After a difficult week, it’s good to be home. I had time to reflect on my journey from Singapore and the main emotion I feel is gratitude,” he wrote. “The support and love I’ve felt since I lost Roscoe has been a powerful reminder that, even when things sometimes seem dark, there is a lot of good in the world. You just have to look for it.”
