Oleksandr Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois to be crowned undisputed heavyweight champion. On Saturday, in a demonstration of power, Oleksandr Usyk knocked out Daniel Dubois in the fifth round, solidifying himself as the undisputed heavyweight world champion. The Ukrainian boxer made history by becoming the first man to achieve the undisputed champion title for the third time, following his previous reigns in cruiserweight (2018) and heavyweight (2024). The victory came after Usyk sent Dubois to the canvas twice during the fifth round, before a crowd of approximately 90,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium. With this victory, Usyk added Dubois’ IBF title to his WBC, WBA, and WBO belts, in what was his fifth title defense. Usyk sent Dubois to the canvas for the first time with a right hand to the head that forced the count. Subsequently, he knocked him down with a left hook. This victory reaffirms, once again, Usyk’s supremacy as the best heavyweight of his generation, an achievement that adds to his previous victories over former champions like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, whom he defeated twice.
