Tina Rupprecht, Undisputed Atomweight Champion, Retires from Boxing
The undisputed atomweight champion, Tina Rupprecht, has announced her retirement from boxing at the age of 33. Rupprecht (15-1-1, 3 KOs) has made the decision to hang up his gloves at the peak of his career, holding all four belts in the 102-pound category. The German boxer conquered titles in two divisions, including the WBC title in strawweight. In addition, she made history by becoming the first undisputed champion of Germany, regardless of gender, in the era of the four belts. The news was confirmed by Rupprecht herself last Saturday during the Bavarian Sports Awards in Munich, where she was awarded Boxer of the Year. At the same ceremony, she announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Markus Fritschi.

My boxing career has officially ended. I am starting a new stage in my life. I feel it’s the perfect time. I have reached a place where I always wanted to be, even higher. Now, I’m done.

Despite his retirement, Rupprecht assured that his love and passion for the sport will remain intact, and that he will seek to transmit his experience through conferences, workshops, and other projects.
