Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis: Venue Change for the Main Event

The expected showdown between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis, scheduled for November 14th, has undergone a change of location. Initially planned to be held in Georgia, it will now move to Florida, specifically the Kaseya Center in Miami. This fight, which promises to be a major event, will be broadcast live via Netflix.

New city, same mission, seek and destroy the tank. Kaseya Center. Friday, November 14th. I bring the heat, and Miami will see me take down this angry elf while the world watches live on Netflix.

Jake Paul has been picking boxing rivals for a while, but this time he chose the wrong opponent. He better start losing some weight, running after some chickens, and praying that helps him on fight night! Thanks to Netflix for giving me the opportunity to beat up this clown!

The venue change comes after Most Valuable Promotions, co-founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, withdrew its application for permits and necessary exemptions to hold the event in Georgia. Rick Thompson, chairman of the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission (GAEC), stated that the promoter was “promoting something they shouldn’t have been promoting.” Press conferences, originally scheduled for September 17 in New York and September 18 in Atlanta, have been rescheduled for September 22 in New York and September 23 in Miami.

Unfortunately, we made the decision to withdraw the event from Georgia after several interviews conducted by Commissioner Rick Thompson, who appears to have a personal agenda, publicly misrepresenting the facts and undermining what was to be a massive event for Atlanta, with multiple world championship fights and the launch of efforts to revitalize world-class boxing in Georgia. Tickets were never put on sale, and every step of this process was coordinated in close communication with the Executive Director of the Commission. This event would have brought significant value to the city, the state, and the sport.

One of the main points of controversy surrounding the fight has been the weight limit. Paul recently competed at cruiserweight, weighing 199.4 pounds in his June fight with Julio César Chávez Jr., while Davis weighed 133.8 pounds in March against Lamont Roach Jr. Bidarian reported that the details will be revealed next week.

From the beginning, we were clear with GAEC about the agreement between the fighters, which is how the match will be. We will share the details next week at our press conference in New York.
