Naoya Inoue Secures His Fourth Fight of the Year
The undisputed super bantamweight champion, Naoya Inoue, continues his dominant run in boxing. A few days after successfully defending his title against Murodjon Akhmadaliev, Inoue already has his fourth fight of the year scheduled. On December 27th, Inoue will face Mexican boxer Alan David Picasso at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event, called “The Ring V: Night of the Samurai”, promises to be a night of action and excitement. The co-main event of the card will feature Junto Nakatani, who will put his WBC and IBF world bantamweight titles on the line against Sebastian Hernandez.Inoue, with an impressive record of 31-0 and 27 knockouts, has shown remarkable activity this year. After his unanimous decision victory over Akhmadaliev last Sunday, Inoue seeks to add Picasso to his list of defeated rivals. The Japanese boxer has shown great activity, similar to that of 2013, his first year as a professional. Alan David Picasso, with a record of 32-0-1 and 17 knockouts, comes to this match after winning by majority decision against Kyonosuke Kameda in July, in a 10-round fight. Nakatani, also undefeated with a record of 31-0 and 24 knockouts, has had two fights in 2025, achieving technical knockout victories over Ryosuke Nishida and David Cuellar Contreras. Nakatani has expressed his interest in facing Inoue and will have the opportunity to make that wish come true if he manages to defeat Hernandez, who has a record of 20-0 and 18 knockouts. If Inoue and Nakatani manage to emerge victorious in their respective fights, an epic showdown between the two is expected in 2026.
