The event, which brought together sports stars and celebrities, served to remember a local hero who, despite achieving fame and fortune, always kept his feet on the ground.

Among those present were other former world champions such as Tyson Fury, Frank Bruno and Barry McGuigan, who also paid tribute to Hatton.
